    General Scope and Summary

    SAGE Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for an important role that is responsible for leading the Business Review process, home infusion and patient services analytics, as well as supporting the reporting and analytics needs of the USMA team. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Analytics and other functions to identify, recommend, develop and implement strategies, plans and tactics that optimize the success of the company’s commercial products. This role will need to work effectively across key functions within Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Customer Insights, Market Access, etc.) as well as other key corporate functions that include but are not limited to: IT, Compliance, and HR. This role will require active partnership with stakeholders across Commercial functions to understand the capabilities required by the business and gather all internal requirements to develop specifications that support sales and marketing strategy.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Provide Monthly and Quarterly Business Review framework and analysis to assimilate and evaluate brand performance across the commercial organization
    • Acts as a liaison between the Sales and Marketing teams, partnering with field sales, marketing and senior leadership to deliver answers to key business questions around HCP, Account and Patient behavior, and reporting on metrics and KPIs for sales and marketing initiatives
    • Participates in the development of a holistic cross-functional point of view to address specified ad hoc sales and marketing or cross-functional business questions that require the integration of output from managed markets analytics, patient service analytics, and primary market research. Creates value by adding own and synthesizing groups insights.
    • Develop and maintain understanding of brand and market access business strategies, plans, tactics and goals
    • Provide strong analytical and financial skills to lend insight to sales management decision-making
    • Ensure requests for analysis are fulfilled efficiently and effectively to meet the information needs of sales, marketing and operations management
    • Define a standard approach to taking requests for analysis and delivering results
    • Coordinate and provide KPI tracking for performance      
    • Provide support to Commercial leadership through ad-hoc analyses that may be needed to help facilitate field execution of sales and brand direction/strategy
    • Surface field issues key to success and provide forum for debate, recommendations and decisions
    • Partner with U.S. Commercial members to identify and obtain additional data sources to support key strategies to drive brand imperatives

     

    Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

    Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

    • BA or BS required
    • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in sales/marketing analysis or statistical analysis, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
    • Ability to translate requirements and insights from field sales management
    • Demonstrated ability to balance immediate and long term tasks with a high level of consistency and quality
    • Advanced knowledge & application of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) 
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate data into actionable insight to support decision making
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills—able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
    • Results oriented, self-organized and self-starter, proven ability to deliver innovative solutions and clear business recommendations
    • Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors
